Good evening Chuck:
The rod arrived today. You did a beautiful job of restoring it. Thank you very much, you're a master rod maker. I've attached the after photos for your review. If you would like any different views, let me know. I took some pictures with the old South Bend Oren-O-Matic 1126 reel attached. It still has the original line on it. Also shown is the original unopened spool of Ashaway HD single taper fly line and a can of dressing.
I would like to fish it with this reel and line if you think the rod can handle it. The reel is very loose in the reel seat. What do I need to do to snug it up? I'm thinking some tape on the bottom of the reel feet. Would love to get a picture of landing a trout with it.
Also got the "Chuck's Rod Repairs" coffee mug today. Thank you for the very nice unexpected surprise.
My local fly shop is Evergreen Fly Shop in Clarksburg, WV. I'm going to take the rod over there to show it off and give them your card.
